AMU Distance Education UG Admission 2026

Candidates looking to take admission at Aligarh Muslim University for undergraduate-level specialised courses have several options. A wide range of disciplines is offered, some of which include Life Science, Paramedical, Dental Surgery, Social Science, Education, Theology, and others. The undergraduate program generally lasts for 3 years, and the maximum duration required to complete the program is 6 years, along with 12 semesters. 

Students who achieved a minimum aggregate mark of 50% in their 10+2 examination or an equivalent can qualify for admission to AMU. Additionally, candidates have to appear in the CUET entrance examination before applying for a specialized course. A registration fee of INR 1000 is required to be paid via several payment options. UG course fees range approximately from INR 25500 to INR 68200.

AMU Distance Education PG Admission 2026

Postgraduate courses offered at Aligarh Muslim University include M.Tech, MSc, MCA, MSW, and MBA. Applicants can specialise in several fields, including Physical Education, Social Work, Mass Communication, Human Rights, Islamic Studies, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Operations Research, etc. PG specialised courses last for 2 years, spread across 4 semesters. Admission to the postgraduate program is based on 55% marks obtained in a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream from a recognized university. A total of Rs 1000 has to be deposited at the time of registration. PG course fees in Aligarh Muslim University range from Rs 28000 to Rs 77000.

Aligarh Muslim University provides various diploma courses through regular mode, in specializations like Engineering, Nanotechnology, Architecture, Design & Garment Technology, Secretarial Practice, and Interior Decoration. The complete duration of these diploma courses is generally 2 years with 4 semesters.

No candidate shall be admitted unless he/she has completed all eligibility requirements at the time of admission. A basic eligibility requirement is to have a higher secondary qualification in any discipline from a recognized university. The total tuition fee for various Diploma courses is INR 18700 to INR 26500. Along with submitting the application form, candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 as a registration fee.
