Assam University Distance Education: Registration portal will open soon for Assam University distance Education program for the year 2026-27 academic session. The University of Assam does not provide any distance education program for students. It offers a variety of UG, PG and Diploma programs like BSc, BA, Bcom, BBA, MCom, MSc, MA, MBA, Diploma in Computer Application etc in regular mode. Interested candidates may apply directly on the university’s official website.

There is no entrance exam because selection is made on the basis of merit. For General and other categories, the application fee is approx INR 500, for SC/ST categories it is INR 300. You must have completed your 12th with at least 45% of the minimum marks from an accredited board in order to enroll in undergraduate (UG) courses. Assam University Distance Education Admission 2026

Assam University Centre for Distance Education will begin accepting students for a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and integrated courses for the year 2026-27. The CUET (UG) score will be the main criterion for undergraduate programs. For UG, candidates must have at least a 50% aggregate in 10+2; eligibility for PG varies by department. Assam University Distance Education Courses List

The central university of Assam, located in Silchar, provides a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in 42 departments, including Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Technology, and Pharmacy. Assam University Distance Education UG Admission

Assam University will soon initiate the application process for UG Programs for the session 2026. The last date to enrol for the program is 15th February 2026. You can select from a wide range of undergraduate degree programs, including BSc, BA,  BCom and BCA, during the next admissions session.

Students must fulfil certain requirements in order to be accepted into the university. Assam University will soon start the application process for the PG program for the year 2026-27. MCA, MSW, MA and MSc are postgraduate courses that are open for admission in the upcoming session. Students must have completed a bachelor’s degree program with a minimum aggregate of 50% in order to be admitted to Assam University distance learning postgraduate programs. The typical annual fee of postgraduate degree programs is between INR 22,000 and INR 45,000, with an application fee of INR 300 to INR 500.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam University Distance Education

Assam University Distance Education Admission Process 2026

Admission process of Assam University generally depends upon the entrance exam, CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for UG/PG programs mostly. After giving the entrance test, go to the official website of the university and fill out the application form, upload important documents, pay the application fee, and submit your application. Admission for other specific programs may include other national-level tests like CAT or JEE Main.

Step 2: Enter your name, email address and phone number to begin your registration if you are qualified for a program. 

Step 3: After obtaining your login credentials (password and username) access your student portal and complete the form by entering your personal and academic information. 

Step 4: Upload your supporting documentation such as the applicant’s passport-sized photo proof of address educational certificate and signature. 

Step 5: Use Netbanking or your credit/debit score to pay the application fee which is approximately INR 300-INR 500. 

Step 6: To obtain the list of merit scores wait for the results of the national level exam or entrance exam. 

Step 7: After finishing all the requirements, submit your application for admission and wait for an email confirmation. 

Step 8: Download and print your payment receipt and application form for future use.
