MKU Distance Education: Admission form for 37 UG, PG, MBA and MCA courses is open now in the January 2026 academic session. Madurai Kamaraj University distance education has started the admission process on 18 January 2026, and the applicants can apply till 30 March 2026. The admission form is available online at @mkuniversityadmission.samarth.edu.in, and it can be filled out by paying the registration fee of INR 650, INR 750, and INR 1250 for UG, PG and MBA/MCA programs, respectively.

MKU Distance Education admission is solely done on the basis of merit score for all offered courses. A 10+2 grade and UG degree holder is eligible to pursue courses at this University. The applicants who are interested in applying must create their ABC and DEB ID to complete the admission process.

About University: MKU Distance Education is a public state university that was established in 1966. The university is situated in Madurai, a city in Tamil Nadu. The university introduced the Institute of Correspondence Course and Continuing Education in 1971; later, it was renamed as the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) in 1996. Presently, the university offers 87 higher academic courses divided into 28 courses in UG, 26 courses in PG, 22 Diplomas, and 11 Certificate courses.

MKU Distance Education UG Admission 2026

Admission to the undergraduate program at MKU DDE has started now for the academic year 2026-27. Madurai Kamaraj University Distance Education offers 28 UG programs, such as BA, BBA, BCA, BCom, and BLISc. The last date of Madurai Kamaraj University Distance Education UG admission 2026 is 30 March 2026. It covers multiple subjects, including History, Journalism & Mass Communication, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Tamil, and Computer Application. MKU Distance Education also offers BEd as a special program. 

MKU Distance Education UG programs are offered with a duration of 3 years, along with 6 semesters. The applicants with 10+2 grade education in the relevant stream (Mathematics with Physics are required for BCA and BSc Computer Science) are eligible to apply for UG courses at MKU DDE. BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) is a 3-year undergraduate program offered to candidates who pass a higher secondary education (+2) from a regulated body, along with a passing percentage of 50%.
