Allahabad University Distance Education Admission: The University of Allahabad (AU) invites applications for various postgraduate, undergraduate, and PhD programs through entrance exams. The last date to apply for admissions for all the UG and PG is expected to be 28 February 2026. Undergraduate admissions are conducted through CUET UG, while PhD admissions are offered via the CRET 2026 exam. University of Allahabad (AU) is the fourth-oldest university in India. It is known as the Oxford of the East, located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This is a public central university founded in 1887. AU Distance Education PhD Admission 2026

Allahabad University offers a PhD program in various specializations, including Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, Law, and Education. The program generally lasts for 3 to 5 years, depending on the different disciplines. An average course fee ranges between INR 25000 and 50000 per year, depending on the discipline. To be eligible, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). 

Admission is based on the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) conducted by the university or other entrance tests like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or equivalent exams.
