HPU Distance Education Admission 2026: For the 2026-27 session, Himachal Pradesh University has started accepting registrations of eligible students who wish to pursue any distance learning courses. HPU ICDEOL has opened its admission window for various UG and PG courses by releasing the registration form on the official website. ICDEOL HPU Admission form was invited on 19 January 2026 for all major courses. The last date to fill out the form has now been extended till 10 March 2026 for all courses, except BEd, which is 05 March 2026. The applicants are able to register online by paying a form fee of INR 500.

Himachal Pradesh University was established in 1970 as a state government university. It is situated in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Step 4: Fill out the name, email ID, ID proof, and contact details to generate a new applicant ID. 

Step 5: Log in to your account using your new applicant ID and password. 

Step 6: Now, fill out all sections like educational, personal, and contact details without making any errors. 

Step 7: Applicants shall attach all mandatory documents like birth certificate and academic certificate. 

Step 8: Pay a specific application fee using the payment gateway available.

Himachal Pradesh University ICDEOL DEB ID

As per the UGC-DEB guidelines, each student must create a DEB ID using their ABC ID to get admission to any distance learning institution. DEB ID is mandatory to get admission to Himachal Pradesh University’s distance education. The purpose of the DEB ID is to ensure that students are admitted to recognized institutions and approved programs. Students are required to have an ABC ID before creating the DEB ID. To create the ABC ID, students need to follow some of the simple steps:

Step 1: Go to the digilocker website or open the Digilocker app. 

Step 2: Log in using your Aadhar Card and phone number. 

Step 3: Under the Education and Learning tab, click on the Academic Bank of Credit. 

Step 4: Now, press the ABC ID card and enter all the personal information.

Step 5: Tick on the consent box and click on the submit button. 

Step 6: Students will receive the ABC ID on registered mail. 

Applicants must have a mobile number for the registration process. If you do not have a mobile number, please enter your guardian’s mobile number for further communication in this regard.
