IPU Distance Education: Online registration was ongoing at the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for the academic cycle 2025-26. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs through regular mode. The candidates are advised to fill out the application form before the expected deadline of 21 June 2025*. For enrollment in the desired program, students have to meet the basic eligibility criteria. Admission is based on both merit and marks scored in an entrance examination. Students seeking admission have to clear state-level and national-level examinations. CUET-UG/PG and CET (Common Entrance Test) are the entrance examinations accepted by the university. Submission of online applications for admission will be done on the GGSIPU’s official website @ipu.ac.in.

Note: According to the UGC-DEB guidelines, IPU does not offer distance learning programs for the academic year 2025-26.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University formerly known as Indraprastha University (IPU) is the first university founded in 1998 by the Government of NCT of Delhi. This is a state university situated in Dwarka, Delhi. GGSIPU is recognized by UGC, ACU, and AIU.  NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) has accredited an A++ grade. • GGSIPU counselling registration has started for UG and PG courses for the 2025 academic session. The last date to apply to GGSIPU is 20 May 2025*.
• For the information of all the candidates appearing in the CET-2025 examination held on 27.04.2025 (Shift-I) and (Shift-II) by GGSIP University, it is informed that the answer keys of all the CET examinations held on 27.04.2025 (Shift-I) and (Shift-II) have already been uploaded on the link given below and it will be released on 30th April 2025 in the evening.

IPU Distance Education Admission Process 2025

Enrollments are ongoing at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University through distance education for the academic year 2025-26. Students who want to be admitted to the university must complete the application form while visiting the GGSIPU’s website. Moreover, students are advised to go through the admission prospectus available on the website. One has to deposit an application fee of INR 1500 using different payment modes available. 

IPU Distance Education Courses List

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD courses through regular mode. Students who wish to study undergraduate program can choose to study BA LLB, B Arch, BDS, and BSc courses. While candidates who want to get enrolled to a postgraduate program shall opt for courses like MBA, MCA, MTech, LLM, and many more. IPU Entrance Exam

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers multiple specialized programs like Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD through regular mode. Students can apply for any particular program once they meet the eligibility criteria. Once the candidates meet the eligibility criteria they can register for a respective entrance exam. IPU accepts several state and national level entrance tests. Some of them are CUET-UG/PG, CLAT, and CET (Common Entrance Test). One needs to clear the cut off of the particular entrance exam. IPU UG Admission 2025

The undergraduate program offered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University distance education lasts for 3 years divided into 6 semesters. The maximum duration required to complete the specific course is 5 years. BA LLB, B Arch, BDS, Bio-Technology, BTech, BSc, and others are the courses offered with specializations in Packaging Technology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Medical Imaging Technology, Radiotherapy, etc. The university has introduced some of the new programs including BSc (BEd), BCom (BEd), BA (JMC), BPT, BBA, etc. 

Students who have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for UG courses. Admission is offered through NLT, CET, and CUET entrance examinations. Candidates must ensure that the last date to apply for admission at GGSIPU. The registration fee is INR 1500, and the academic fee for the UG level course is INR 2000 to INR 132000.  

 IPU PG Admission 2025

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University provides various postgraduate courses for distance education, such as MA, MBA, MCA, MTech, LLM, and MSc. These courses cover a range of specializations, including Robotics, Urban Design, Fire and Industrial Safety, Bioinformatics, Homeopathy, and others. The duration of these postgraduate courses is typically 2 years with 4 semesters. 

The eligibility for the PG academic course is to pass undergraduate courses with a minimum aggregate mark of 60% in a relevant discipline. 21 June 2025* is the deadline declared by the GGSIPU for granting admission. The selection of any chosen course is based on the marks scored in the GATE, CET, or any other. To register students have to pay an application fee of INR 1500. The complete tuition fee for the various PG-level courses is INR 25000 to INR 217000. 

IPU PhD Admission 2025

Applicants are invited to take admission to PhD programs in following specializations like Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence- Data Science, Artificial Intelligence- Machine Learning, etc. PhD programs usually last for 3 years. 

Students seeking admission to Ph.D. programs shall have completed a master’s degree program with at least 55% marks. Admission to PhD program shall be granted through a Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducted by IPU. Additionally, candidates who have qualified for other entrance exams like UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR, NET, GATE, and CEED are also eligible to apply at this university. PhD course fee at IPU ranges for INR 57000. 

IPU Distance Education Eligibility Criteria 

The candidates are advised to check the prospectus carefully before applying for a desired program at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of marks obtained by them in an entrance exam. Some of the entrance tests accepted by IPU are CUET-UG/PG and CET (Common Entrance Test). Here are the key admission criteria for allotment to any course:

• All applicants have to pass a higher secondary examination while applying for any undergraduate degree course. 
• In addition, all applicants must appear in the appropriate entrance exam. 
• Only those candidates will be granted admission to postgraduate degree if he/she holds a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

IPU FAQ: 

Q1: Is 75% attendance compulsory in IPU?

Ans: Yes, students must have a minimum of 75% attendance in all subjects to appear in an examination. 

Q2: What are the eligibility criteria for the 5-year LAW Program at IPU?

Ans: Students must pass the 12th exam and English shall be the core language with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally students have to appear in the CLAT examination and shall score a minimum qualifying marks.

Q3: Which courses are for which the university is conducting CET? 

Ans: IPU is conducting CET (Common Entrance Test) examination for multiple courses like MBA, MCA, BBA, B.Com, BJMC, BA(Eng) ,BA(Eco) ,Lateral entry B.Tech and B.Ed.  

Q4: How do students fill the IPU application form?
