UOU Admission 2026: Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) has already started its admission process for the January 2026 session, and the admission will close on 28 February 2026*. UOU offers various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), diploma, PG diploma, certificate and PhD programs in distance mode.

However the admission is done based on the merit score of the last qualifying examination but for the MBA, MCA, B.Ed, MTTM the university conducts its own entrance test or accepts MAT, CAT scores. Admission for the undergraduate (UG) programmes at Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) is currently live for the 2026 session. The university provides B.A,BCA, B.Com, BBA, BTTM at undergraduate level in Open & Distance Learning (ODL) mode. To be eligible for UG courses from UOU,students must have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) or an equivalent from a certified board. It is also mandatory to secure at least 40% to 45% aggregate marks in a relevant subject.

UOU takes direct admission on the basis of academic performance, but for the B.Ed program candidates need to have appeared for the entrance exam. The UG courses’ fee generally ranges between INR 5,000 to INR 18,000 per year, depending on the course level.

To take admission in a PG program, applicants need to hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a well known university. • UG-  Students need to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent form a certified board.
• PG- Applications must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 

Subject Preference:

• UG- For the BSc and BCA programs, students must have studied science subjects (PCB/PCM) at 10+2 level. 
• PG- Studied a relevant subject at the graduate level. 

Entrance Exams:

• UG- For the B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) program, students need to have appeared in the entrance test. 
• PG-  Candidates who are going to seek admission in MCA, MBA, MTTM program, are required to qualify for the university level entrance test or national level entrance exam.

Step: 6 Click on the “Save and Next” now upload your educational documents, scanned signature, passport- size photographs. 

Step: 7 Carefully check all filled details and proceed for payment. 

Step: 8 Pay an application fee of INR 250 by using online payment methods. 

Step: 9 Now complete the procedure by submitting the form and take a printout of the form for further processing.
